Meet Ian Tyson, Co-owner of Native Village Rescue. As a young boy he discovered his love for the state of Florida and the wildlife he calls home.
His professional experience started as an animal handler & alligator wrestler at the iconic Native Village (Seminole Reservation, Hollywood, FL), then moved on to management. Later down the road a new opportunity arrived. He began working at Shogun Big Cats , where he was trained to handle big cats.
Meet Korbin Tyson, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Korbin also has a love & passion for animals. He is the 9 year old son of Ian and Cady, he was born into a life of reptiles.
He was taught how to handle the animals safely by the time he was walking. He enjoys teaching other kids about his reptiles and protecting our planet. When he was a baby up to 2 years old he would watch his dad wrestle alligators at the Gatorboy Rescue – Everglades Holiday Park. He would copy his father’s moves on his mother’s shoulder using her head as a gators head! Any stuffed gator he had he would practice with as well. When he turned 2 years old he wrestled his first real alligator. He was taught “We Don’t Wrestle, We Handle Gators”. Korbin is an A Honor roll student at his school.

Meet Cady Tyson, Co-Owner. Born and raised in South Florida. She has been a domestic animal lover since childhood. When she met Ian, he brought out her wild side!
Ian introduced her to the world of wildlife and reptiles. She instantly became eager to learn more. As time passed she has learned how to handle wildlife respectfully and with care. She believes in preserving our beautiful natural world and all it’s animals. She is passionate about educating the public about the importance of preserving our delicate Florida environment. She works with Native Village alongside her husband Ian and talented son Korbin.

Excellent opportunity to have lots of fun and Instagram moments!
The kids (and adults) will not only have a great time but will also learn how to take better care of our environment!

Would recommend for events, schools, and parties. The family is very engaging and entertaining, all of their rescues were an extension of their family. Awesome educational experience!

I’m so thankful for Native Village rescue. Thank you for coming out and helping this injured bird seeking refuge in my friend’s backyard. We were so frightened for him and now he will be rehabilitated and released. Be Kind to All Animals!
